The Defender Shield™ Anti-Ballistic Workstation is a discreet security desk designed for environments where professional appearance and serious protection must exist together. Built from furniture-grade hardwoods and wood solids, this workstation conceals advanced ballistic steel protection inside a refined wood structure suitable for courthouses, hospitals, schools, government buildings, and administrative facilities.

From the outside, it presents the appearance of executive-quality wood furniture. Inside, it houses certified ballistic materials engineered to stop serious threats.

Each Defender Shield™ is handcrafted in Missouri by Executive Wood Products and built to order with an estimated production time of 8–10 weeks from date of ordering.

Advanced Ballistic Protection

The Defender Shield™ integrates certified NIJ Level III ballistic steel concealed within the workstation structure. This protection is designed to stop rifle threats up to 7.62mm rounds, including those fired from AR-15, AK-47, and .308 platforms.

The upper portion of the workstation includes 12-18 inches of NIJ Level IIIA clear ballistic polycarbonate, allowing visual awareness while maintaining protection from common handgun threats.

Because all ballistic materials are fully integrated within the wood structure, the workstation maintains a professional furniture appearance without the visual presence of a traditional barrier.

Encapsulation Technology™

At the core of the Defender Shield™ is an engineered internal structure designed to capture and contain projectiles.

Encapsulation Technology™ surrounds the ballistic components within a controlled structure that helps reduce the risk of spalling and secondary hazards.

The workstation also incorporates Threat Elimination design, removing vulnerable seams where transparent and solid ballistic materials meet. The result is a continuous protective barrier with no exposed transitions.
